*Paver Patios, Sidewalks, and Driveways:
Pavers or bricks come in many colors and shapes; you can also build them in many patterns. The pavers you see on the top right corner of the page is called Cobble Stone Circle, this picture is of a job we did in Plymouth. This cobble stone circle was done at a residential home association. The cobble stone circle can be one of the most complicated paver bricks to install. One of the best advantages of using pavers is that if the pavers sink or break, they're much easier to replace or repair than some other materials. When a paver sinks you just remove the area of pavers and set your new base down. Then, simply lay the brick and the new base. Cement is so much harder to repair, you would have to break the old cement and pour the new cement on the new foundation.

*With paver, you don't ever get cracks because every brick is an individual piece which allows the bricks to move around and not crack. When you install pavers in your home or business you’ll know they’ll be in for a lifetime. One of the reasons pavers last so long is because of the way they are installed. The process when installing a brick patio or sidewalk is a very time consuming process. The bricks will be installed on a base of about 4” to 6” of class five, then 1” of sand. The sand will then be swept in between the bricks to inter-lock them together. The patio or sidewalk will also have a landscaping edger that keeps the bricks nice and tight. The last thing to do is compact the pavers to give then a nice flat surface. Driveways are really the same process except the driveway requires more class five base. We typically install about 10” to 12” of class five base . We have done many driveways over the past few years: cement, pavers, and gravel. The best looking driveways are always the paver driveways; it looks the best, lasts the longest, and also increases the value of your home or business.

*Most people think that pavers are not a smooth surface, but the reality is that pavers are much smoother than you might think. You won’t have any problems shoveling or snowblowing in the winter time. Your patio furniture will not wobble or be uneven. Your patio should be another part of your home, not another part of your back yard. Your patio is a living space, and a place your family and friends can spend most of their time. So if you’re looking to add an addition to your home or business in the form of a paver patio or if you have questions about any of our products, give us a call!
